Every culture has unique dresses that are representation of the culture and they are a part of tradition. The people of the tradition relate to the dress and they relate to their heritage counterparts via the dress. There are some dresses and styles that despite being a unique part of a culture sill end up being very famous and broadly accepted internationally.
Kimono is very beautiful and distinct dress that is symbol and trademark of pride for the Japanese culture. They are cultural yet so stylish they have made quite a mark on the globe style scene. They have been used as motivation for a lot of fashion developments and yet they are the most charming and in their element in their natural best.
The kimono is the traditional and cultural dress of the Japanese and it exactly means a thing to wear. The actual meaning of the word does not take away from the attractiveness and romance of the image that the mind conjures when they hear this word. The Kimonos have invented in Japan and therefore their designs have the general elements of the Japanese symbols and culture.

There are many kinds of kimonos and the designs are being modernised with time. The kinds of Kimonos vary with styles and occasions of the kimono also depends on the mood or the place of the occasion that is being worn to. There are particular kimonos that are meant for semi formal or formal occasions.
Furisode and Tumesode are the preferred kinds of kimonos for formal occasions. They are prepared out of silk Kimono and they are quite costly but they carry their value perfectly.
The tsukesage or homongi are the kinds that you could wear to tea tasting ceremonies or semi formal parties. They are either made of Silk Kimono or sometime there are some that are created up for fine cotton for summer or spring time.
The Yukata is another type of Silk Kimono that is famous with both female and the male. It is generally worn as a nightwear or after a bath but nowadays it has quickly been adapted as a very relaxed lounge wear. It is very fashionable as well.
Many kinds of kimonos like the geisha kimono are famous because of the beauty of the outfit that is fashioned to make the person feel like the most remarkable person in the full crowd. The style of kimonos is complimented and unmatched by their style.
